Up here in Glasgow rehearsing and recording Mrs. Brown’s Boys. with the brilliant Brendan O’Carroll. I play a ‘swinger’ and I have the funniest line in the show, but I cannot tell it to you.
After a ‘sold out’ run at the Jermyn Street Theatre s we are transferring to the Art Theatre for a limited three weeks run from 6th. Nov. to 24th. Nov.
I have been in a lovely neck of the woods called the ‘Cotwolds’ filming an episode for the BBC of Father Brown.
Filming in Cardiff… Mary Larkin playing my wife. She told me, when we met in the dressing room, “It’s 40 years.” Since we last worked together or saw each other. Strange old business – show business. Our episode is being shown on 3rd., Nov.
I start rehearsals tomorrow for Trevor Nunn’s production of Beckett’s radio play ALL THAT FALL, except we are ‘staging it’ at the Jermyn St. Theatre. Eileen Atkins and ‘the great Gambon…’ as Ralph once called him are leading the cast.
